Our Adventures & More
Western Washington got hit with an insane amount of snow over the past week. In fact, I think we broke a record and last time we got this much snow was back in 1945. We had about 7 inches on Monday, the 4th. It warmed up just a tad over the next couple of days, leaving us with about 4 inches when the second storm hit.
Girl, There’s A New Book!
If you can only read one book for 2019, you better make it Rachel Hollis’ new book Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-Free Plan For Embracing And Achieving Your Goals. This book is FIRE. It’s her follow up to Girl, Stop Apologizing and lays out the exact steps she took to reach her business goals.
Starting Our Journey To Debt Freedom
I’ve been debating this post for a couple of weeks now, because it is embarrassing to talk about. This is real, raw, and vulnerable. My anxiety is through the roof as I type this. We are 65,000 in debt. I want to cry and vomit over that number. This number causes us unending stress and numerous arguments about how to handle it. Hopefully the people who read this do not think lesser of us.
Our Homeschool Week
To go along with my yearly planning post, I figured it would be a good idea to have a little chat about how we plan out our homeschool week. Right now, we are working with Torchlight Curriculum Level K and it is super fantastic!
Please excuse the picture quality, but this is a picture I snapped just before starting my morning routine. If you remember the post on my review of the Last 90 Days challenge, you will know how I struggled with the waking up an hour earlier part of the challenge. Well, I am not struggling with that anymore and have been waking up around 5 am pretty much every morning (I do sleep in a bit on weekends).
Tales From an MS Warrior
I have been having a flare for about a week now. While it has been uncomfortable physically to have my legs slightly numb, my feet feeling extremely stiff and numb, it has been even harder on me mentally this time.
We are spending this weekend doing something we usually don’t put a whole lot of thought into. Well, we usually sorta just get daydreamy with it, but this time we are sitting down and really planning out what we want to achieve this year.
A few months ago, I stumbled on the book Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. I downloaded it on Audible and blasted through that book faster than anything I have listened to on there.
First Hunting Trip
At the beginning of this year I made the decision to go out hunting. I thought that it would be a good experience and another way to get out in the woods, besides camping.
The Sound of Silence
We have been in a hard parenting season here. Wild, 4 year old boys are tough. Add in the crappy PNW weather and it can be a bit of a recipe for disaster. Not to mention, someone has been getting a little bit too much screen time lately.
